Christian Kaithern is an Army Veteran, former chef, and currently a brewer at Bonesaw Brewing Company. He moved to Mullica Hill with his wife in 2020 and just welcomed their first child in September of 2021. The proximity to family, work, rural escape, and Philadelphia were incentives for a Mullica Hill move. In addition, the close-knit community, local outing opportunities, restaurants, and quaint small-town aesthetic and charm are what make Mullica Hill home.
The inspiration for joining the fire company came from a young kid enamored by fire trucks. Ultimately, living so close to the fire house, there weren’t enough reasons to not volunteer. Since joining the fire company, Christian has learned the depth of fire company history, tradition, and legacy that makes HTFD-23 a true community institution. The “inside” perspective has led to understanding how much more of an impact the fire company makes on the community outside of responding to calls.
When Christian isn’t responding to calls, he is spending time cooking and enjoying time with his family.
