How long have you been a member of HTFD-23 and why did you join?

2001, Late one night I was coming home and came across a pickup that had rolled over in a field with two occupants inside. I stopped to help when the police arrived. I helped the EMS crew remove them and just thought I wish I could have done more. So I looked into it and joined soon after.

What is the best part about being part of HTFD-23?

I guess the thing I like the most is that the people who are a part of the fire department have a genuine need to help.

What do you do when you’re not fighting fires?

I like to spend time with family at the campground and out on my boat.

Who would you say is the most influential person in your life and why?

My mother. No matter what life threw at her she always found a way to make a good life for my sister and myself.

What is your favorite movie and why?

Any movie about WW2. It was a generation that asked no questions and did what was asked of them.

If you had 3 magic beans – what would you wish for?

Eternal happiness for my family, people to come together for the common good of everyone, that new boat I’ve had my eye on.
